Pastor Michael Salman has been sentenced to a 60 day sentence for holding a home bible study for his family and friends.

Pastor Michael Salman is a Pastor of the Christian Faith, and was Ordained in 1996 by the Elders of the Church of God in Christ.

Phoenix prosecutors have said that Michael has been sentenced to a 60 day jail sentence for holding a service in his house without proper permits. They say he was in violation of building codes.

The city said it had nothing to do with what was going on inside the building. But everything to do with the size of the structure and its lack of exit signs, fire sprinklers, and doors.

The City of Phoenix has said that Mr. Salman had regular gatherings of up to 80 people.

Michael believes it is his first amendment right to practice Bible study in his home on his property. 

Michael’s sentence includes a 60 day sentence as well as a $12,280 fine.
