The School bus that Juan Delvalle was driving
The school Bus Driver was 65 year old Juan Delvalle from Bronx New York. Mr. Delvalle was beaten by 30 year old Joey Scott after he accidentally knocked a side-view mirror from his double-parked car.
According to the New York Post Mr Scott allegedly punched Mr. Delvalle twice in the face on June 11th. He never regained consciousness and had been on life support ever since the incident according to Carolyn Daly, a spokeswoman for the Atlantic Express bus company.
Daly went on to say that “The swelling and bleeding in the brain were extensive,” Daly said. “He was hooked up to a ventilator and that was the only reason he could breathe. He never regained consciousness. It was a very, very severe injury.”
Mr. Delvalle who was driving 2 middle school student in the school bus, when he hit Mr. Scott’s illegally parked Chrysler Sebring. The incident which insued was when Mr. Scott punched the 65 year old man in the face twice knocking him to the concrete.
Joey Scott has a long criminal record, and is now in police custody on $250,000 bond.
Surveillance video captured most of the incident including the accidental side swipe of the car, Mr. Delvalle exchanging insurance information, and Mr. Scott striking the 65-year old grandfather.
