Although fast food has a bad reputation for being of poor quality, one person took it too far as a Burger King worker took an offensive picture standing on lettuce used on burgers.
According to the Daily Mail, a Burger King employee posted pictures of himself stepping in bins of lettuce and offended fast-food lovers everywhere and was caught after 15 minutes. The employee took the pictures and then posted them on the internet image board 4chan. Almost immediately after the images were posted, 4chan users were so appalled by the now former employee’s actions that they took the GPS data included in the picture and pinpointed where it was taken.
Local news media was then contacted and the employee was found. The alleged perpetrator was a long-term employee at the Mayfield Heights branch of the fast food restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio according to the Huffington Post. A news source reported that the man will be fired along with the shift manager who was on duty at the time of the incident. The actions of the 4chan users were applauded by the popular internet site Reddit, who made a montage of the postings in celebration of the users’ detective work.
Some of the comments from the 4chan users about the incident can be seen below along with pictures:
“Enjoy getting fired.”
“Just got off the phone with the manager.”
“He’s pissed.”
“LOL. OP is gonna be in trouble…Don’t f**k with people’s food.”
