As concerns between authority figures and students becomes a more prominent issue, a caretaker offers a student money in exchange for sucking her toes.
According to the Daily Mail, a high school caretaker has been sacked after he opened his wallet and offered a female student ‘as much money as she wanted’ if she let him suck her toes. The caretaker has been identified as 29-year-old Harley Joseph, who was working at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City at the time of the perverse incident.
Joesph was fired in February after he made the curious proposal to the young student who was attending Middle College High School. She told investigators that the maintenance man first approached her in November last year when he asked her out for lunch. After she refused, he did not approach her until January where he allegedly old her she “had nice feet” before offering her $100 to let him “suck her toes.” When she refused, he then opened his wallet and offered her as much money as she wanted. After her second refusal, he offered to drive to the nearest ATM to withdraw even more money for a chance to pursue his bizarre foot fetish.
When the victim repeatedly refused, Joseph became violent and took her by the wrist in order to escort her to an area where they could not be seen. The young woman managed to escape his grasp and reported the incident to authorities. However, when investigators opened the case, no further action was taken as Joseph was already transferred out of the high school.
The incident brings to light the recent changes in ways that cities hire staff for some of their public colleges, as more are using private companies that are not subject to the same rigorous background checks.
