Fourteen year old Nadia Ilse is looking forward to the new school year, where she will be able to show off her new looks. She has spent much of her life being teased by her classmates having been called names like “Dumbo” because of her “elephant ears.”
Nadia told CNN’s Sanjay Gupta that she was talkative as a youth until she began getting bullied in the first grade. She said the ” taunting hurt so much.”
Nadia Ilse received a $40,000 donation from a charity known as the Little Baby Face Foundation. The Dr. who did her Plastic surgery pinned her ears back, squared her jaw, and did constructive surgery on her nose. All in an effort to make her face more symmetrical.
Nadia is pleased with the results of the surgery saying “I look beautiful, this is exactly what I wanted, I love it.”
Nadia has advice for parents who have children who get teased saying always give them love and tell them they are beautiful.
