In what has been described as Colorado’s most destructive fire, one person has been announced dead due to the ravaging flames.
According to CBS News, one individual has been announced dead as a direct cause of the now infamous Colorado wildfire. The body, which has yet to be identified, was found in his home that burned in the fire.
According to the latest reports, close to 350 homes have been destroyed in Colorado Springs, leaving the residents in the area helpless as the raging fire continues to spread rapidly as it is only 5 percent contained.
Over 32,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes as the wildfire continues to worsen with efforts by the firefighters doing little to contain the ravaging beast of flames.
According to Colorado Springs Mayor Steve Bach, 346 homes have burned in the fire, on 34 different streets in the community.
One of the residents whose home is just a half-mile from the fire line, John Sawyer raised questions about the aftermath of the situation:
“How are thousands, or hundreds of families (going to) find places to live, continue their work? How will the schools function? There’s a lot of questions ahead if we don’t get back to our houses.”
