Cops forcibly pull a tampon out of a mother for passing a stop sign and are now facing a lawsuit in Citrus County.

According to New Times Blog, last July, Leila Tarantino claims that she was pulled over by an officer with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department, where she says she came to a full stop and should have never been pulled over in the first place.

According to Tarantino’s lawyer, a passing cop rolled up behind her to pull her over. The cop then immediately drew his weapon and pulled her from the car, where he refused to explain why he pulled her over. The cop placed Tarantino in the back of the squad car, leaving her to sit there for two hours. Tarantino was strip searched on the side of the road when backup arrived, where passing motorists could see everything.

In what can only be described as a gruesome act, a female officer then forcibly removed a tampon from Tarantino. The cops were supposedly looking for drugs, however, the lawsuit notes that a drug-sniffing dog was never called in. Moreover, no drugs or illegal substances were found in her car or on her person.

The incident was witnessed by Tarantino’s two children. While no names have been given, the lawsuit states that here were five male officers and one female officer involved. A copy of the lawsuit can be seen below:
