The man known for creating one of the most curious looking shoes in the world, Crocs founder George Boedecker arrested for DUI and blames singer Taylor Swift.
According to the Huffington Post and the Smoking Gun, police in Colorado arrested a 51-year-old shoe-mogul turned philanthropist on Saturday after he blamed DUI suspicions on his so-called girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Police found the Crocs founder passed out in his black Porsche Carrera after a witness reported seeing him on Sunday.
When police approached the drunkard, he told the officer about his “really f–king famous” 22-year-old girlfriend who he claimed was the one driving the vehicle. He then asked the cop if he was familiar with country singer Taylor Swift. When the officer proceeded to inquire where Boedecker’s girlfriend was, he replied back saying ”she was in Nashville” and “batsh-t crazy.” His drunken rant included him saying, “I’m not doing your f–king maneuvers,” to police officers when they asked him to do the standard drunk test.
Boedecker has a history with the police as authorities arrested Boedecker for suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing and threatening bodily injury in 2006 after he was accused of calling his sister’s ex-husband and saying, “I’m going to slit your throat.”
He is currently out on a $500 bond.
