Deiondra Sanders, the daughter of Hall of Fame football player Deion Sanders, has signed up to play in Bikini Basketball League despite her father’s wishes.

According to Yahoo News, daughter of Hall of Fame football player Deion Sanders, Deiondra Sanders will be joining the Bikini Basketball League as she has agreed to join this new league this season. The Bikini Basketball League will feature several former professional basketball players, some of which have played in the WNBA. All participants in the league will wear wear shorts and sports bras during the games.

Despite her fathers wishes, Deiondra Sanders has agreed to play and participate in the upstart Bikini Basketball League. Deiondra told told Jeff Sammut of 590 The Fan in Toronto,

“My dad was kind of upset, but that’s like any parent who just sees bikini league. He thought I was gonna be out there in a bikini. He [saw] a picture of our uniform and stuff like that, so I think once he saw that we’re actually covered up a little bit, he wasn’t as concerned. I just think that it’s a lot different because we actually do have players, real basketball players, that actually have played in the WNBA before. So I think that this will make a difference because people are really gonna see real-life hoopers. They just look good while doing it.”

While this move by Deiondra Sanders may seem weird to many, this is not the first time the daughter of Deion Sanders has made headlines as the young woman had a very public twitter campaign against her step-mother in 2011 and in 2012 a very publicized break-up with Denver Nuggets star Quincy Miller.
