According to TMZ, the Dwight Howard custody battle is in full swing as both the basketball superstar and his ex-wife Royce Reed are having serious differences when it comes to the custody of their young son. While the fight has been an ugly scene to witness as both parties have spread malicious rumors about the other, Reed claims that her ex-husband has an unfair advantage in court as he has more money to spend on lawyers and now wants Howard to pay for the over $100,000 bill.
The latest development after Dwight Howard filed for sole custody of their son is that Reed filed docs in Florida asking a judge to make Dwight pay her legal bills as she claims that she can’t afford them. That fact may be true as Reed was canned from the reality show, “Basketball Wives,” this year.
Reed also claims that her ex-husband makes over $1.3 million per month, making the custody battle an unfair fight as she cannot afford the same caliber of lawyers as he has. In court, her lawyer stated how $44,113.50 bill and is expected to add on another $60k plus if she continues to fight for a grand total of $106,621.80.
The judges ruling on Dwight Howard paying Royce Reed’s legal fees is still pending. Moreover, neither part has made a comment about the issue as of yet.
