Exotic Dancer scams Food Stamp federal aid system for $24,000 to buy plastic surgery

You can always run on for a long time, but eventually it will catch up.

Former Exotic Dancer Brenda Charlestain, 28, committed nearly $24,000 worth of food stamp fraud, using the money on plastic surgery, a car stereo system, and a bright pink custom paint job for her 2008 Dodge Charger.

Charlestain claims that when she filed for federal aid, her and her 5 children were homeless, and unemployed in dire straits.

According to Sun Sentinel she testified saying that the $9,187 worth of cosmetic enhancements, and $1,100 sound system along with the rest of the money were all gifts from men that she met while stripping.

Over the time period from March 2010 to June  2012, court records show she was provided $900 to $1,100 a month. During this same time frame she admitted to making $85,000 a year as a stripper.

Charlestain was sentenced to 1 1/2 years in federal prison, and must eventually repay the $23,965 worth of food stamps she received.
