While operators at the end of 911 calls surely receive a lot of ”false alarms,” one father calls 911 after his daughter refuses to buy him beer.
According to ABC News, a father calls 911 after his daughter refuses to buy him beer in Seminole, Florida. The man has been identified as 56-year-old Robert Hagerman, who initially told the dispatchers on the other end of his phone call that his daughter was on drugs and behaving violently toward him.
However, when deputies arrived on the scene of the alleged abuse at 11 p.m., they found Hagerman “very intoxicated and uncooperative,” according to the police report. According to his daughter, Hagerman called the police after she refused to buy him any more alcohol. He threatened to call the authorities and lie to them in an attempt to coerce her into buying him beer. Evidence in hand, Hagerman’s daughter played back the recorded threats she had on her cell phone from Hagerman to the police.
Hagerman was eventually charged with making a false report of a crime and will have to appear in court.
