Father of 30 children, Desmond Hatchett is asking the courts in Tennessee for a break on child support. Hatchett, who is only 33-years-old, fathered 21 children in 2009 and vowed not to have anymore. However, the father of 30 children went on to have nine more children in the past three years. The eldest child of the bunch is just 14-years-old. According to Yahoo News, Hatchet explained that he came to this unique situation by had four kids in the same year two times.

Currently, the state takes half of Hatchett’s paycheck and divides it up, which amounts very little seeing as Hatchett is making minimum wage. In fact, a few of the 11 women of the moms receive as little as $1.49 a month. However, according to Hatchett, he can ”keep up with it all.”

Father of 30 Children – No Law Against Hatchett

The father of 30 children is well-known by Melissa Gibson, who is an assistant supervisor with the Knox County child support clerk’s office. The LA Times quoted Gibson about the situation,

”Yes, we’ve got several cases with Mr Hatchett.”

Fortunately for Mr. Hatchet, there is no law that puts a cap on how many children a man can father.

“If there’s something out there like that, I’m unaware of it. It definitely needs to be.”

The child support payments are based in part on the ages and needs of the children.
