Paleontologists in Drumheller, Alberta have unearthed the skeleton of a massive triple-horned triceratops.
According to the Ottawacitizen: Earlier this summer, a former employee of the Royal Tyrrell Museum came across the 65-million-year-old fossil that had been exposed by erosion. The triceratops was discovered just 90 feet from the side of the road.
The vertebrae on the dino are 23 inches tall, and the ribs are nearly 6 feet long.
Triceratops are the most common dinosaur discovered, but uncommon in Dinosaur Valley, in Alberta. The valley is world renound for it’s discovery of dinosaur’s over the last century.
