Eric Holder to be held in contemptThe House of Representatives voted Thursday 255-to-67 to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. The first time an Attorney General has ever been held in contempt.

Holder is in trouble for refusing to turn over documents tied to the botched Fast and Furious gun-running sting. An operation that has become a sharp point of contention between Democrats and Republicans in Washington.

The original intent of the operation was to let guns go across the border into Mexico, so that the ATF could track the guns and find out who was getting their hands on the weapons.

The problem came when it was discovered that the United States government let guns end up in Mexican Drug Runners hands which lead to more blood shed across Mexico than ever before.

The American Government lost track of these guns, and never recovered them. The amount of guns trafficked is said to be in the thousands. Some of the guns involved in the operation now being called “Fast and Furious” were discovered at the crime scene where a U.S. Border Patrol Agent was killed.

The Republican’s are citing that they want to the documents to review the circumstances behind the Agents death.
