Twenty-six-year-old Lalit Ram, is known by the local’s in his village as the “elephant man” because of his long face. The man who has to sleep with the Buffalo’s has been offered a new lease on life by one plastic surgeon who has agreed to cover the entire surgery.

Lalit suffers from a rare genetic condition called neurofibromatosis, which means large tumours have grown on his face. He says he once became so sad by his condition that he tried to commit suicide by eating rat poison. 

His new found opportunity gives him hope of one day meeting a woman that he can make his wife. In an interview with whatsontianjin.com he said “I look at others getting married and dream of it for myself.” 

Dr. Vivek Kumar of the respected Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi will be the one performing the miracle surgery for free.
