An interracial couple in Georgia says they were targeted for being a mixed race couple.
The couple says they were walking through a park in Savannah Georgia when they were approached by a group of three men who began yelling racial slurs, and blowing kisses at Olufisayo Bakre.
Bakre told WTOC11 that she was aggravated by the harassment, but did not expect her boyfriend to get the beating that he received.
The boyfriend Andrew Quade, 23 says he remembers the confrontation but remembers nothing else about the incident and regaining consciousness in the Ambulance.
Quade’s eye is swollen shut and his face is swollen following the attack that occurred Friday night. Bakre said that during the beating they appeared to be beating him and would not stop.
She went onto say that she has no doubt that the confrontation occurred because they were an interracial couple.
The three men who allegedly committed the crime have still not been caught.
