When Janiya Penny realized her dream came true and President Barack Obama was there to meet her, White House photographer Pete Souza, was there to capture the moment.
Janiya was able to meet the President thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation, after associates approached Janiya three years ago as she battled sickle cell anemia, a life-threatening disease that causes excruciating pain.
Associates at Make-A-Wish were unsure they would be able to make the meeting between President Obama, and Janiya happen, but after Janiya was quite confident that there was no one else she would rather meet, her dream came true!
