While reports were circulating that the famous couple were splitting up, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux engaged.

According to Wonderall, after being together for over a year, Theroux and Aniston have announced their engagement. 41-year-old writer and director proposed to the 43-year-old “Friends” star after their extended European vacation. Theroux, who has never been married, is beyond elated about the enagement according to his rep, “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”
Before the engagement was announced, rumors were circulating that the couple had split as Aniston was allegedly tired of waiting for a marriage proposal. Meanwhile, rumors are spreading that Aniston’s ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie will be tying the knot in France this weekend.
In the May issue of Marie Claire, Aniston described Theroux as, “ a protector, for sure. He’s just a good human being, and so funny.” The couple have been together since May 2011, just a few months after Theroux broke it off with his longtime live-in girlfriend, Heidi Bivens.
While no date has been set yet, it is doubtful the couple will get married this year as both have numerous films in production.
