One of the first images sent home from the Mars rover has caught the attention of World Wide Web. A mysterious blotch can be seen on the horizon in a photo from the surface of Mars.
The blotch has generated speculation about what it might be, considering two hours later the blotch was gone.
The black and white images which are giving NASA and the world the first images of what the Mars rover “curiosity” is seeing on the tiny red planet.
When “Curiosity” landed it snapped several images including the one that shows the mystery blotch on the horizon. The rear camera Hazcam, captured the blotch, which was faint but distinctive, on the horizon.
What NASA is saying about the blotch –
NASA is saying it could be anything from a dust storm, to a tiny speck of dirt on the Lens.
Some even have suggested that it may be the Space Craft landing off in the distance. Saying it is unlikely to much of anything of real interest.
