Some victims were shot with buck shot rounds from the shotgun, and others were found with bullets from the assault rifle, and 40-caliber.
Holmes had bought a ticket and sat through 20 minutes of the new Batman film — before leaving through a fire exit, then reappearing dressed in SWAT geat, lobbing in tear gas and unleashing a flurry of bullets.
As details continue to become available there are also reports that Holmes, may not have surrendered, but was arrested after a SWAT Officer noticed something different about his very sophisticated gear.
Holmes allegedly was wearing a helmet, throat guard, ballistic vest, ballistic leggings, gloves and was dressed entirely in black when officers discovered him at his vehicle.
Holmes also had booby trapped his apartment, in the event that he was shot and killed first officers to respond would have triggered the explosives to activate.
