NYPD Cannibal Cop, Gilberto “Gil” Valle. Gilberto Valle is being held without bail after his wife tipped the FBI which led to an investigation and allegations that he plotted to kidnap, rape, torture, and cook “over low heat” 100 women. The case has been unfolding as court documemts reveal the evidence that is against Valle, and a personal profile of his on the OKCupid dating website, as well as facebook remarks, have since shed some light on the officer’s character.
When Gilberto Valle’s wife stumbled upon disturbing images on one of the home computers, she took their one year old baby girl and fled the state with literally “the clothes on her back“. On the computer she had found a list of multiple women that included their date of birth, height, weight and even bra size. Even more alarming was her finding of “tactical plans” on how to kidnap and cook the women. During the investigation started by the FBI in September, Gilberto Valle was found to have met up with some of his potential victims he had on his list, many of which were illegally aquired from an FBI database. Court documents also show he had discussed with a co-conspirator one plot to kidnap a victim in exchange for $5,000. He had lists for certain materials such as chloroform and rope.
Officer Gilberto Valle pleaded not guilty on Thursday to the charges against him. According to The New York Times his lawyer, Julia L. Gatto, said the officer committed no crime. “At worst, this is someone who has sexual fantasies, there is no actual crossing the line from fantasy to reality,” she added.
