There is a deep dark under world that exists in China. Human organ harvesting is a practice that is still going on to this day, despite all of the negative attention that the Chinese have received for the allegations of crimes against humanity over the past decade.
Practitioners of Falun Gong have been imprisoned for their beliefs. Prisoners of the Quasi-Buddhist group Falun Gong have long been executed for their organs. Every organ from the cornea, to a heart, to a set of lungs has been sold in the underground organ trade.
In 2008 David Matas and David Kilgour released evidence confirming their conclusion that China has been killing Falun Gong practitioners so that their organs could be sold to transplant recipients. These prisoners are literally being harvested for their organs according to Kilgour, and Matas.
In the United States or Canada, it usually takes one to three years to obtain an organ transplant, leading many to look overseas to China for a transplant. Under the current regime in China, it takes only one to three weeks for a transplant to become available, and can bring in $100,000 per person.
fofg.org (friends of the Falun Gong) reported that in 2011, the U.S. State Department said in its annual Human Rights Report that: “Overseas and domestic media and advocacy groups continued to report instances of organ harvesting, particularly from Falun Gong practitioners and Uighurs.”
Fofg.org also reported that just recently on Oct. 3, 2012, 106 members of Congress sent Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a letter asking for the release of information about transplant abuses in China that the U.S. government may possess.
The Washington Times estimated that the Falun Gong membership in China is more than 70 million. Ethan Gutmann of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies said 450,000 to 1 million Falun Gong members are in prison at any given time, with over 9,000 having been executed and their organs sold on the black market.
These crimes against humanity have been linked to the same kind of treatment that Jewish Prisoners in World War II were exposed to by the Nazi’s in concentration camps.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, was denounced in 1999 by the Chinese Government labeling it a dangerous cult. Falun Gong is a spiritual practice that consists of the study to improve character and five gentle exercises, including meditation. Three values, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, form the core of Falun Gong’s practice.
