According to the New York Post, pregnant bride Vindalee Smith was found stabbed to death in Brooklyn inside her home this morning. The deceased bride to be had just one more day to go before her big wedding day. The authorities state that the 38-year-old Smith was found unconscious inside her basement East Flatbush apartment about 9:30 a.m.
According to a close friend of Smith, the mother-to-be, who was due to give birth to her son in just two weeks time, was stabbed numerous times in the neck. Monique, Smith’s older daughter, was devastated when she found out about her mother’s death. “Where is my mom? I want to see my mom!” A close friend of Smith’s said, “It was so sad. She came for a baby shower and a wedding — but now she has to stay for a funeral.”
Police are currently continuing their investigation and trying to figure out the motive for such a horrific act of slaying. Smith was a proud mother of four and worked for a home health-care agency for the elderly. She was a active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist and frequented the nearby New Dimension Church, where she was set to get married.
While Smith seemingly did not have any enemies, she had received death threats from a former neighbor with whom she had a misunderstanding with in the past.
