The country of Mexico has been ravaged by Drug cartel’s, and an underworld of corruption for years now. The Mexican drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán has now become North American Public Enemy number 1.
In a report by Borderlandbeat.com the Pentagon may be planning a covert operation to take out the Sinaloa Cartel kingpin “El Chapo” Guzmán. The operation would be similar to the early morning raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
Because of the increased violence along border states, and the flow of drugs, the United States has become increasingly irritated by the Sinaloa Cartel boss. As ordered by the Pentagon and Northern Command (NORTHCOM), the United States would either capture, or kill the man who is considered to be responsible for the increase in killings, and civil unrest in Mexico.
“El Chapo” has escaped from Mexican jail several times, and has not been in custody since 2001 when he escaped from the maximum security prison Puente Grande, in Jalisco.
Because the raid would be in direct violation of the Mexican Constitution, the United States would need Mexico’s stamp of approval.
The U.S. Navy Seals would be conducting the raid. It would more than likely be a helicopter raid of an elite Special Forces unit having UAV escort’s packed with air to ground missile’s.
Recent reports indicate that Guzmán has been using Guatemala, and Honduras as a hideout and base of operations.
