Simi Valley High School Junior, Sarah Baxter shattered the old course record set 11 years ago by 16 seconds.
Sarah finished the 3-mile race in 16:00. The next fastest runner in the race finished at 17:18.

Because the field at Mt. Sac is considered one of the strongest in the Nation having finished 1:18 seconds ahead of second place and having broken the previous record by 16 seconds her performance has been called the greatest performance in Female cross country history.
