According to Scottish Scientists there could be another way to combat global warming. The plan includes creating a layer of dust from asteroids shielding the earth from some of the suns powerful rays.

The website Space.com said: “Instead of altering the climate by targeting either the oceans or the atmosphere, some researchers have suggested geoengineering projects that would affect the entire planet from space.”

The plan includes blasting the surface of asteroids creating giant clouds of dust that would act as shield for Earth.

The Dailymail uncovered Research by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change suggesting that average global temperatures will increase by between 1.1C and 6.4C by the end of this century.

The rise in temperature could be associated with various factors including greenhouse gases, as well as Solar Flares on the surface of the sun.
