Seminole County Sherrif
The wife of George Zimmerman, 25 year old Shellie Zimmerman was arrested by Seminole County sheriffs at her home where she has been in hiding on one count of perjury.
This is just the latest in the world of the Zimmerman family who are now being arrested from a series of taped conversations that landed her husband back in jail a week and a half ago.
The charge stems from a false statement she made during her husbands initial bond hearing on April 20th. She made a claim that her husband, and herself were financially indigent, even after the couple collected up to $200,000 after they created “therealgeorgezimmerman.com”.
When Shellie Zimmeraman was asked by Assistant State Attorney Bernie de la Rionda ”In terms of the ability of your husband to make a bond amount, you all had no money, is that correct?” she answered “Yes”.
She is now free on after posting the $1,000 bond required to be released.
