The violent scenes came in the wake of  two incidents that occurred over the weekend where two men were gunned downed by police officers.

On Saturday a 24-year-old man was shot dead after running away from police. The man was a suspected gang member but was found unarmed at the scene.

Then late on Sunday Anaheim officers tried to stop a car and killed a man who police said fled and opened fire on them during a foot chase.

The two deaths brings the number of fatal police shootings to 5.

Orange County Police have been building  up their gang countermeasures. Los Angeles,  Santa Ana, and many surrounding cities are heavily infiltrated by gangs that are run by Mexican Drug Cartels. With the build of gang intervention, and crackdowns some of these encounters are becoming deadly.

The protesters want to send a message to police that shooting unarmed suspects is not going to be tolerated. In the video below Police began trying to suppress the crowd with beanbags, and the K9 Unit.

Whats more important to the people of Southern California uprooting the gangs or stopping the police state?  Feel free to add your opinion.
