Sonar scans in the Baltic have uncovered an object  that could be one of the most important historical finds in years.

Divers exploring a ‘UFO-shaped’ object in the Baltic sea say that the strange, steel-and-concrete structure could be a Nazi craft lost beneath the waves since the end of the Second World War.

The scan’s have shown that the device, is raised 10ft above the seabed and measures 200 ft by 25 ft in size.

World War II expert Anders Autellus has said that sonar scans suggest that the object could be the base of a device the Nazis developed as part of the war effort.

Autellus said the Nazis built anti-submarine device using wire mesh to confuse submarine radar and lead the enemy craft to crash.
