All captured on tape, a TSA agent groped a woman who gropes back as she was patted down on Tuesday.
According to NBC News, a TSA agent is accused of groping a woman passenger as she was going through security to catch her flight. The passenger, Carole Price, was groped on her way to Cleveland, Ohio. In her account of the incident, Price says the TSA agent was not following protocol when the agent began to grope Price’s genitals and breasts. Price, who is a former TSA agent who worked at the airport until a few years ago, says her pat down was personal.
After Price was groped, she put down her carry-on bags, turned to a TSA supervisor and grabbed her, allegedly without permission, to show the supervisor what Price says she went through.
Once the incident was seen, Price was removed from the flight, taken to jail and now faces misdemeanor battery charges, where she has pleaded not guilty.
“Ms. Price just wants her name cleared,” says Price’s defense attorney John Mills.
The TSA made a statement about the incident:
“The pat down was conducted correctly in accordance with our procedures. Violence against our officers who work every day to keep the traveling public safe is unacceptable.”
A Lee County jury will decide Price’s fate this July.
