As details emerge people around America want to know what happened in the Connecticut Elementary school shooting Friday morning. Reports are 27 people have been killed with 20 of them being children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Update on what happened in Connecticut Elementary School Shooting: Connecticut Elementary school shooter has been identified as 2o-year-old Adam Lanza. It has been reported that Lanza killed his mother at one of the families homes before driving to Sandy Hook Elementary School. His mother, Nancy Lanza had reportedly been a teachers aide at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Originally his brother 24-year-old Ryan Lanza was improperly identified as the shooter. Adam was found dead in the school with Ryan’s ID according to reports.
The gunman Adam Lanza, was 20-years-old, and was described as wearing all black battle fatigues, and a bullet proof vest. Originally reports were that there were two gunman but at this time law enforcement officials believe there was only one shooter. Many of the shootings took place inside of a kindergarten classroom, sources told the Hartford Courant. The gunman was found with 2 hand guns, a Glock and Sig Sauer along with one shotgun discovered in a car in the parking lot.
CNN reported that a parent who was inside the school at the time of the attack said she heard what sounded like at least 100 rounds being fired. She said she saw two school employees who had died in the Connecticut school shooting.
The first calls came into police around 9:40 a.m., according to media accounts.
