The mystery behind the large eyeball discovered on a Florida beach is almost certainly solved. The blue eyeball which was the size of a softball is believed to have belonged to a swordfish or marlin says Duke University Professor, Sönke Johnsen. Much early speculation ranged from guessed that the eyeball may have belonged to a whale or a giant squid.
The big blue eyeball was found by Gino Covacci on Pompano Beach, north of Fort Lauderdale Florida, on Wednesday.
