A Chinese woman who had been experiencing itching, and irritation on the side of her head went to the doctor see what was causing her the irritability. After an examination the doctors at Changsha Central Hospital discovered that a spider was the reason for her discomfort.
Because the irritation had lasted for 5 days that means the spider had been living in woman’s ear for at least that long. The doctors were careful with their methods for removing the spider, and eventually settled on using saline fluid to wash it out.
For those who think that this is only a problem in China think again. The American boy in the video below had two spiders in his ear back in 2007. He kept the two spiders as souvenirs. Kind of makes you want to call the Orkin man, or even start sleeping with ear plugs?
