Rebecca Carey, 23 had an unconditional love for the dogs she would save and bring into her home. This love Carey had since she was 13 ended in tragedy over the weekend when at some point the 5 dogs she had in her home ended up killing her.
Carey was discovered Sunday afternoon at her home in Georgia when she failed to show up to work at Alpharetta’s Loving Hands Animal Clinic.
They included a pit bull, which she had owned for six years, a boxer mix and a Presa, a large Spanish breed. She was also dogsitting another Presa for a friend.
The cause of death was listed as neck and upper torso injuries consistent with dog bites.
Because it was unclear which dog attacked and killed Carey all of the dogs were euthanized on Wednesday.
