Yahoo News correspondent David Chalian has been fired for comments he made about Mitt Romney and his wife during live coverage of the Republican convention.
Chalian said “They are happy to have a party with black people drowning,” in reference to Mitt Romney during the convention.
As the comment is made other anchors around him also laughed as if Mr. Chalian had said something funny.
Many around the Internet want to know when the personal attacks will stop so the candidates can talk about their solutions for fixing America.
Yahoo News has since responded with this statement:
“David Chalian’s statement was inappropriate and does not represent the views of Yahoo!. He has been terminated effective immediately. We have already reached out to the Romney campaign, and we apologize to Mitt Romney, his staff, their supporters and anyone who was offended,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
